The Rules To Deal With Stomach Bloating
In the last article, I discussed the advantages of using food combining as a way to get rid of a bloating stomach. Food combining is easy-to-follow and totally natural. In addition, it has been proven in multiple national tests.
The main rule concerning food combining is making sure that you don’t mix carbohydrates (pasta, rice, bread) with proteins (meats, fish, eggs) at the same meal. If you want to eat them, you can do so but at different times.
This is so because they use different enzymes to be absorbed by the body. When these enzymes are released by themselves, they do a great job at processing the food you eat. However, when they are released by the body at the same time, they tend to neutralize each other.
That is why pizza is usually not a good food. Pizza contains both proteins (cheese, meats) and carbohydrates (the base of the pizza). If you eat a piece of pizza, you will have a bloating stomach for awhile as the stomach takes longer to process the food.
One thing you can eat with either type of foods is green vegetables. Green vegetables are great because they have a high content of water in them and don’t require special enzymes to be processed.
Also, remember to eat fruit by itself. Fruit doesn’t need to stop by the stomach to be processed. If you eat it with regular food, it will sit in the stomach and will become fermented.
It will also help you if you remember to drink few liquids while or right after eating. Liquids dissolve the enzymes and make them loose their effectiveness. If you can, drink plenty about 20 to 30 minutes before a meal.
Finally, if you want to get rid of a bloating stomach, follow your parents’ advice: Chew all of your foods. This way, you will really help the body digest the food quickly and easily.
